Mixing spirituality and religion is definitely an ancient practice. For reasons unknown, it is always easier to accept things once they have the force of religion. Unfortunately, comparing spirituality and religion, is much like comparing chalk and cheese! If you look at above quote carefully, you will observe what exactly I mean. Spoken about above, religion is belief in someone else’s experiences. No religion on the globe, have their basis on universal experiences. We were holding all founded for the experiences someone, who lived centuries or perhaps millennia ago! When nobody contested the claims, it was slowly converted into a law and finally religion came to be.

Spirituality conversely, is only individual experience based. No 2 different people are the same and neither are their experiences. Hence spirituality could mean something more important to be able to people.

Till date, there isn’t any fixed definition of amil baba. Just one thing is certain. Spirituality emanates from within. It can’t have no choice but, explained nor manipulated.

Renowned spiritual leader and yoga guru, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, gave these explanation when inquired about his opinion on spirituality:

“Spirituality doesn’t imply any particular practice. It is a certain strategy for being. To acquire there, there are several things to do. This is just like a garden in your own home. If the soil, sunlight or stem of your plant is in a certain way, it will not yield flowers, you need to do something. You need to look after those things. When you cultivate your system, mind, emotions and energies to some certain amount of maturity, something different blossoms in the human body – it is precisely what spirituality is. Whenever your rationale is immature, it doubts everything. When your rationale matures, it sees everything in an entirely different light.”

As quoted by Sadhguru, spirituality can not be practiced. It becomes an experience you decide to go through. Spirituality is often a journey, not only a destination.
