A fresh 2016 Christmas rock n roll tune has been written, created and then recorded in a Phuket recording studios in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main aim of getting awareness and exposure for the Phuket island charity and children’s Orphanages that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day, Phuket website .
The tunes name is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs is a special up-tempo rock n roll track. Mark wrote and partially recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo guide since then waiting for the possibility to record once again. In late August 2016 Mark began the recording process and used local session musicians to studio record the song durring a six week period. The track consists of 8 separate tracks and all session musicians were from the Philippines, including the lead vocalist ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was done in the United States as a result of Mark needed the best result and quality. The music is currently ready to be listened to and downloaded by visiting the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site.
The key goal of recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many people to the Tsunami Day web site that we can and then we hope in-turn they’ll be good enough to donate to one or any of the Phuket charities, and to also download the track.
One other definitive goal is to get enough downloads of the song to help fund and create a Phuket live music pub with open stage and recording studio / teaching room on Phuket, which will offer free classes and tuition to local underprivileged children from the local schools and children’s orphanages. To date ‘La QingTing’ isn’t currently open yet but the website is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you’re wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day site to promote his song Tsunami Day which was inspired from his own particular experiences while he was living in Patong in 2004 once the Tsunami hit Patong on boxing day. As with ‘I’m Coming Home For Xmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and children’s Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ site there’s numerous methods to simply help including a Phuket island Hotel and cheap flight booking to Phuket booking system. Every dime helps.
