The tunes title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs genre is a unique up-tempo rock/rock-pop track. Mark wrote and semi studio recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo song since then looking forward to the opportunity to record once again. In August 2016 Mark started the studio recording process and used session players to record the tune over a six week period. The track consists of 8 separate tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the lead singer ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was made in the United States due to Mark needed the best result and quality. The music ready to be heard and downloaded by visiting the ‘Tsunami Day’ Website.
The main aim of studio recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many people to the Tsunami Day website as we are able to and then ideally in-turn they’ll be kind enough to help to one or every one of the Phuket island charities, and to also buy the song.
The other main goal is to get enough downloads of the song to help fund and set up a Phuket live music pub with open stage and recording studio / training room on Phuket, that will present free instructions and tuition to local underprivileged kids from the neighborhood schools and orphanages. Currently ‘La QingTing’ isn’t open yet but the web site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day internet site to promote his song Tsunami Day that was influenced from his own personal experiences while he was residing in Patong in 2004 once the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. Much like ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the song Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site there’s numerous ways to simply help including a Thailand Resort and cheap flight booking to Thailand booking system. Every penny helps.
