The moment must the perfect wedding speech be delivered…?

How weddings have changed on the decades! Coming from a handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight bridal party members; a simple wedding car to expensive and large wedding cars; three course meals to six course meals; one to three live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.

Speaking of the second, wedding speeches are still an important part of being married and guests do look ahead to hearing them, talking about them before, during as well as after they’ve been delivered.

We know of wedding speeches delivered before the meal, during the meal and after your food, however it’s of the strong opinion the father of the groom speech must be delivered following your meal. I understand that for most marriage ceremony speakers i.e. Father in the Bride Speech, Father of the Groom Speech, Bride Speech, Groom Speech and Bestman Speech (the 5 main speakers), they would choose to hold the wedding speeches prior to the meal, so they can enjoy their meal (many of them are spending money for it!). However, all is here the invited guests and just how many (and even the wedding ceremony venue staff) would rather the wedding speeches to become delivered following the meal for several reasons, some of which include:

The invited guests are already fed and watered and are not hearing wedding speeches before eating anything (at least of food, which may be prior to the meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival in the wedding venue)
Food might be cooked and served in the agreed time (introduce wedding ceremony speeches ahead of the meal and their could be a delay of 15 minutes to a single.5 hours, driving living rooms staff crazy attempting to keep food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
The wedding ceremony speeches become the transition through the meal for the dancing (broke and alone happening following your meal, everyone is expecting ‘a few words’ to get shared regarding the Bride & Groom after which they do know they are able to get out of bed, move around, have a break, go for a walk, navigate to the bar…)
It’s not easy for moms and dads of the Bride & Groom to speak in public, since most of them wouldn’t be used from it. So, they could, whenever they so wished, speak prior to the / their meal.

There should nevertheless be some sort of formal wedding speech(es) following your meal…
