How weddings have changed on the decades! From a handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight marriage ceremony members; a straightforward wedding car to expensive and big wedding cars; three course meals to 6 course meals; one-three live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.
Speaking of aforementioned, wedding speeches remain a fundamental part of a married relationship and guests do look ahead to hearing them, talking about them before, during as well as after they’ve been delivered.
We are all aware of wedding speeches delivered prior to meal, during the meal after the meal, yet it is of the strong opinion that the wedding speeches ought to be delivered following the meal. I am aware that for many marriage ceremony speakers i.e. Father with the Bride Speech, Father from the Groom Speech, Bride Speech, Groom Speech and Bestman Speech (the five main speakers), they will want to possess the wedding speeches before the meal, to enable them to enjoy their meal (some of them are spending money for it!). However, it is all about the invited guests and how many of them (and indeed the wedding ceremony venue staff) would prefer the wedding ceremony speeches to get delivered following your meal for many reasons, a few of which include:
The invited guests are already fed and watered and aren’t paying attention to wedding speeches on an empty stomach (at least of food, which could be the case prior to the meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival with the wedding venue)
Food can be cooked and served on the agreed time (introduce the marriage speeches prior to the meal in addition to their is actually a delay of Fifteen minutes one.5 hours, driving your kitchen staff crazy attempting to keep food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
The wedding ceremony speeches become the transition through the meal for the dancing (without a penny happening as soon as the meal, individuals are expecting ‘a few words’ being shared concerning the Bride & Groom after which they know they are able to wake up, move about, come out, go for a walk, navigate to the bar…)
It’s a challenge for fogeys with the Bride & Groom to talk in public areas, since most of them may not be used from it. So, they could, when they so wished, speak before the / their meal.
There should be some form of formal wedding speech(es) following the meal…
