How weddings have changed on the decades! Coming from a handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight wedding party members; a fairly easy wedding car to expensive and big wedding cars; three course meals in order to six course meals; 1 to 3 live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.
These are the latter, wedding speeches remain a fundamental part of a married relationship and guests do enjoy hearing them, referring to them before, during and indeed after they’ve been delivered.
We know of father of the bride speech delivered prior to the meal, during the meal and after the meal, however it’s of a strong opinion that this wedding speeches should be delivered following your meal. I am aware that for a lot of wedding ceremony speakers i.e. Father of the Bride Speech, Father in the Groom Speech, Bride Speech, Groom Speech and Bestman Speech (5 main speakers), they might choose to hold the wedding speeches before the meal, to enable them to enjoy their meal (some of them are spending money for it!). However, all is here the invited guests and the way many of them (and indeed wedding ceremony venue staff) would like wedding ceremony speeches being delivered following your meal for many reasons, a few of which include:
The invited guests are already fed and watered and are not hearing wedding speeches before eating any breakfast (at least of food, which will be ahead of the meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival on the wedding venue)
Food can be cooked and served in the agreed time (introduce wedding ceremony speeches before the meal in addition to their might be a delay of Fifteen minutes to a single.5 hours, driving living rooms staff crazy continuing to keep food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
The marriage speeches work as the transition in the meal for the dancing (with nothing happening following your meal, everyone is expecting ‘a few words’ to become shared about the Bride & Groom after which they are fully aware they could wake up, maneuver around, take a rest, take a stroll, see a bar…)
It can be hard for parents in the Bride & Groom to communicate in public places, as the majority of them would not be used than it. So, they might, whenever they so wished, speak before the / their meal.
There should be some type of formal wedding speech(es) following your meal…
