During the last year, many people have approached me asking me about my perspective, and also the perspective of Training in Miracles, on the popular book and film The Secret. I was also recently asked to be involved in an authority panel discussion for the Secret as well as the law of attraction with the Body Soul Spirit Expo in Calgary.
As I view it, The Secret comes with a few powerful and necessary global messages worth appreciating.
The 1st message is always that our thoughts use a powerful relation to our life. Another insight is we’re permitted a wealthy life, although true wealth is more than cash and “toys.” Instead, it calls for feeling fulfilled in every parts of society, including our relationships, career, and health. What we want to do is look within to find if, the truth is, we’re feeling worth authentic wealth.
Another message that is subtly conveyed from the Secret, then one that I believe really was, is the fact that if we have a very heartfelt desire and now we agree doing our part to manifest the drive, synchronicities arise, and dormant forces sparkle.
On the other hand, I am the notion that more “toys” as cars, houses, jet planes, and boats will make us happy and you will be the illustration showing our ability to manifest is potentially damaging and crippling for many people who are already “bankrupt” inside the aspects of self-love and self-appreciation. The challenge using this picture is that the desire to have often develops from a a sense lack as opposed to a feeling of completeness. These types of this, whatever we gain in dreams of feeling “full,” whole, happy, or accomplished, will in the end not work, because we feel a void internally.
The fact is that we aren’t empty, but already full, when problems in later life and feel this to get our new reality, then this outer world sets out to “echo” our inner awareness.
A Course in Miracles reminds us that as far as that people can accept and turn into truly grateful for the inheritance as being an unbounded, abundant, whole, and unlimited Self, we are going to attract to ourselves the right outward expressions of our claimed inner worth. This reclaiming individuals authentic Self might miraculously bring into manifestation any material items which provides the more good of both our life as well as those around us, and yet we’re going to feel no dependency upon them for our happiness.
