Sabrina Ho, director of Poly Macau and Stanley ho daughter and Angela Leong, asserted case is co-organized by Poly Macau and Chiu Yeng Culture. “I hope that the series of cultural events [organized through the two companies] can bring to Macau new aspects which will allow to continue the diversification of the economy,” said Ho, who also expects that artists and art collectors worldwide continuously support Macau as a possible art platform.
“We continuously bring Macau more diversified cultural activities, and [will support] Macau to create itself as a global art platform,” said Ho and “hopefully that Macau may become a well- known art capital later on.”
Regency Hotel opened in 1983 and has endured past business closures. Ho, however, hopes to switch it into an art hotel. “In Macau, there can be many resplendent big hotels, but the variety of hotels which can be utilized for art as well as some creational events is, in reality, much less great,” said Ho.
Currently, Regency Hotel isn’t running any casinos, which, as outlined by Ho, creates a different atmosphere compared to other hotels. She also thinks that guests staying in this hotel tend to be more “private.”
The “6075 Macau Hotel Art Fair” is going to be held on the Regency Hotel until November 27. As many as 60 exhibition halls is going to be arranged to show off artworks from 60 artists born after 1975.
Ho claims that just a few hotels are able to provide teenagers rooms and also to invite teenagers to design the rooms for them.
