The Poly Macau Art Auction has held again until today on the Regency Art Hotel. The kinds include Chinese and Asian Contemporary and modern Art, Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Chinese Ceramics and Pieces of art as well as Jewels and Prestige Collections.
Masterpieces of Chinese modern art maestros is going to be displayed to represent the major developments of Chinese contemporary art history, including Wu Guangzhong’s “Snowscape in Beijing”, that is estimated for sale at HKD14 million approximately HKD28 million.
Other pursuits including Chinese ceramics and artworks, including those in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, bronzes, lacquers, Buddhism figures, and fine stationery is going to be up for auction.

Sabrina Ho, director of Poly Macau and Sabrina ho chiu yeng and Angela Leong, asserted the wedding is co-organized by Poly Macau and Chiu Yeng Culture. “I hope that the group of cultural events [organized through the two companies] may bring to Macau new aspects that will allow to carry on the diversification with the economy,” said Ho, who also expects that artists and art collectors worldwide continuously support Macau as an art platform.
“We continuously bring Macau more diversified cultural activities, and [will support] Macau to build itself as being a global art platform,” said Ho and “hopefully that Macau may become a well- known art capital in the foreseeable future.”
Regency Hotel opened in 1983 and has experienced past business closures. Ho, however, wishes to switch it into a form of art hotel. “In Macau, there could be many resplendent big hotels, nevertheless the variety of hotels which are used for art as well as some creational events is, in reality, not very great,” said Ho.
At present, Regency Hotel is not running any casinos, which, based on Ho, generates a different atmosphere in comparison to other hotels. She also thinks that guests staying in this hotel will be more “private.”
The “6075 Macau Hotel Art Fair” is going to be held on the Regency Hotel until November 27. When using 60 exhibition halls is going to be arranged to show off artworks from 60 artists born after 1975.
Ho claims that just a few hotels are able to provide young adults rooms and also to invite young adults to design the rooms for them.
