How weddings have changed within the decades! Coming from a handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight wedding ceremony members; an easy wedding car to expensive and big wedding cars; three course meals to 6 course meals; 1 to 3 live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.
While we’re talking about the latter, wedding speeches are nevertheless a fundamental part of being married and guests do look ahead to hearing them, speaking about them before, during and indeed after they’ve been delivered.
We have all heard of wedding speeches delivered ahead of the meal, through the meal and after your food, however it is of an strong opinion that the wedding speeches should be delivered following the meal. I understand that for many marriage ceremony speakers i.e. Father of the Bride Speech, Father from the father of the groom speech (the five main speakers), they will choose to contain the wedding speeches prior to the meal, so they can enjoy their meal (many of them are spending money for it!). However, it is all about the invited guests and exactly how many (as wll as wedding ceremony venue staff) would choose the wedding ceremony speeches to be delivered after the meal for most reasons, many of which include:
The invited guests happen to be fed and watered and aren’t playing wedding speeches before eating anything (at least of food, which would be so ahead of the meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival in the wedding venue)
Food might be cooked and served with the agreed time (introduce the wedding ceremony speeches ahead of the meal as well as their is actually a delay of Fifteen minutes to a single.5 hours, driving the kitchen staff crazy attempting to keep food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
The marriage speeches act as the transition in the meal for the dancing (broke and alone happening following the meal, everyone is expecting ‘a few words’ to be shared concerning the Bride & Groom after which it they do know they could wake up, move about, have a break, take a stroll, visit the bar…)
It’s not easy for fogeys from the Bride & Groom to speak in public, the majority of them wouldn’t be used from it. So, they may, whenever they so wished, speak prior to / their meal.
There should still be some sort of formal wedding speech(es) following the meal…
