First, it is crucial to be aware that Central Asia has a more friendly attitude towards Islam than its neighboring countries of Pakistan and Afghanistan. But, it must be kept in mind that it’s technically an Muslim region , and thus caution is required in certain places. T-shirts and shorts that are long are acceptable for males and females in the cities, but in the case of visiting any mosques active, people should wear trousers that fall below the knee and tops that cover their shoulders. Women should also wear a headscarf. Throughout this tour we are travelling in quite remote areas that are not frequently visited by tourists. Local people tend to dress modestly, so it is likely that you’ll feel more comfortable wearing conservative clothing.
